Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 19, 2026
This policy describes what actually happens on prosperityclub.com.
What changed on August 19, 2026. Until this date the site ran no analytics of any kind. It now uses Google Analytics to measure which pages people read, which means it sets cookies and shares some information with Google. That is described in full below, along with the switch that turns it off. Nothing else about the site changed: there are still no forms, no accounts, no advertising, and nothing is ever sold.
The short version
- Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which articles people read. This sets cookies and sends some information to Google. You can turn it off — see Turning analytics off.
- No advertising. No ad networks, no remarketing, no data brokers, no selling or sharing your information with anyone for marketing.
- No accounts, no forms. The site has nothing that collects your name, email, or any personal details.
- The needs analysis runs entirely on your device. Your answers are never transmitted, stored, or seen by us. They exist only on your screen and disappear when you leave the page.
The details
Google Analytics
Every page loads Google Analytics, which is a service run by Google. When you visit, it records:
- the page you are on and the page you came from,
- roughly where you are (country or region, worked out from your IP address — Google discards the full address rather than storing it),
- your device type, screen size, browser, and language,
- how long you stayed and what you clicked.
It stores cookies on your device (named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code) so
that two visits from the same browser can be counted as one returning reader
rather than two strangers. These cookies contain a random number, not your name.
We use this to answer one question: which articles are actually helping people. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not send Google anything you type.
The site also explicitly switches off Google’s advertising features — “Google Signals”, ad personalisation, and remarketing audiences — in the code it loads on every page. That means your visit is counted, but it is not added to any advertising or remarketing profile, and nothing is sent to Google’s advertising systems.
Google processes this information under its own terms. Their explanation of how they use data from sites that use their services is here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
For historical reasons the site reports to two Google Analytics properties at the same time rather than one. Both belong to Prosperity Club and both receive the same information; the site’s records simply predate the change and were kept intact so past years remain comparable.
Turning analytics off
There is an analytics switch in the footer of every page. Turn it off and the site stops sending anything to Google immediately, on that device, for as long as you leave it off. Your choice is remembered on your own device and is not itself reported anywhere.
Two other ways, if you prefer not to rely on us:
- Google publishes a browser add-on that blocks Analytics on every site: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Most browsers can block third-party cookies, and most ad blockers block Analytics by default. Both work here; the site functions normally without it.
Theme preference
If you use the light/dark theme toggle, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device so the site remembers it next visit. That value never leaves your device. You can clear it any time through your browser settings.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our web server keeps standard access logs (the IP address, browser type, page requested, the page that linked you here if your browser reports it, and the time of each request). We use them only to keep the site secure and working, never to profile individual visitors. They are not shared or sold, and logs roll over automatically as they grow so old entries are discarded.
When you contact us
The contact options on this site (call, text, email) use your own phone and email apps. If you reach out, we receive whatever you choose to send and use it to respond to you. We do not sell or share it, and we do not add you to marketing lists. If you later want anything you sent deleted, ask: deborah@prosperityclub.com.
If you text us your needs-analysis results
The “text Deborah your results” button prepares a message in your messaging app. Nothing is sent until you press send, and only what you see in the message is sent.
Class recordings and worksheets
Masterclass recordings and worksheets are served directly from our own server. Watching or downloading them does not involve YouTube, Vimeo, or any other third party, and no separate account or sign-in is required.
Links to other websites
Blog posts and resource pages link to outside organizations, and some link to videos on YouTube. Once you leave this site, their privacy practices apply, not ours. We link only to organizations we consider reputable, but we can’t control what they do.
Children
This site is financial education for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, children included.
Insurance conversations
If you become a client, the information you share for quotes or applications is handled through the licensed carriers and partner organizations involved (such as Experior Financial Group, First Connect, or LegalShield) under their privacy practices and applicable insurance regulations, not through this website.
Your choices
You can turn analytics off in the footer at any time, block cookies in your browser, or email deborah@prosperityclub.com to ask what we hold about you and to have it deleted. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change again, this page will change first, with a new effective date, before any new collection begins.
